The Perioperative Services Scheduler receives and enters provider requests accurately and efficiently. They clearly communicate information to perioperative services staff as required to ensure the integrity of the surgery schedule. This function is the beginning of patient care and critically impacts surgeons, anesthesia, staff and most importantly the patients.

Receive information via fax, electronic file or phone and input to computer so all critical information is transmitted and communicated correctly helping to ensure best possible patient outcomeWork with office staff to ensure accurate information is provided in the most effective manner when scheduling casesProvide procedure time information to the OR Supervisor, team leads and others requiring scheduling informationWork with Pre-Anesthesia Screening Services Staff to schedule appointmentsMaintain scheduling strips on the "Schedule Board" to ensure all information is accurateEach employee is responsible for implementing SJRMC's Service Standards into their daily work :Safety, Courtesy, Effectiveness, and Stewardship
