Embedded Software Engineer San Francisco

Some of your work will be hands-on at our hardware lab in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, but our work culture is remote-friendly. Some travel may also be required to work with teammates and vendors in other locations, mostly in the US and Asia.

Responsibilities

• Own firmware and device driver development for a new Linux-based personal computing device plus associated peripherals, from early prototypes through production.
• Redefine the bar for security, reliability, and performance across embedded software.
• Contribute to component evaluation and selection.
• Collaborate with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, security engineers, and other software engineers to integrate components into a cohesive product.
