Recreational Therapy Aide

Job Description

NATURE OF WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Assist the recreational therapy department on all patient units. Follow through on recommendations of recreational therapists by implementing the recreational treatment plan for individual sessions as well as group programs. Responsible for transporting patients to and from all recreational activities within the hospital. Weekend programs will require transporting of patients as well as coordination of performing arts events. Must comply with all inflectional control guidelines and clean therapy equipment as needed. Duties also include distributing recreational materials to patients as needed.

Requirements

One year of satisfactory full-time experience in the provision of simple treatment and other patient care services under professional supervision.
