Nurse Manager / NICU and Pediatric Unit

Our client, a nationally recognized healthcare organization known for its commitment to clinical excellence and staff development, is seeking an experienced  Nurse Manager  to lead the  NICU and Pediatric units .

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring optimal staffing, quality outcomes, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician and an inspiring leader who fosters collaboration, supports professional development, and champions a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the NICU and Pediatric units, ensuring high-quality, family-centered care.
• Collaborate with the Director to recruit, orient, and develop nursing staff while managing performance and engagement.
• Conduct annual competency assessments and coordinate cross-training to meet changing patient volume and acuity needs.
• Manage departmental budgets, monitor expenditures, and assist in capital equipment planning.
• Partner with Bed Coordinators, Case Managers, and physicians to enhance patient throughput and ensure timely admissions and discharges.
• Lead quality and performance improvement initiatives aligned with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Promote a positive work environment that values teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
• Partner with clinical educators to identify learning needs and implement targeted development programs.
• Support patient satisfaction goals and contribute to hospital-wide initiatives.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and professional standards, including participation in mock codes and ongoing education.
