ICU RN Job Details

Location : Dallas, TX 75230 (Texas healthcare job)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)

Unit : Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU)

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1360-$1460

Start Date : November 4, 2025

End Date : February 3, 2026

Employment Type : Travel RN, On-Site

ICU Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Texas RN license (no temporary licenses; required for Dallas nursing jobs)

Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience

BLS and ACLS certifications (required for ICU nurse jobs)

CCRN certification preferred

Experience with CRRT and hypothermia protocol preferred

Familiarity with Meditech documentation system preferred

Ability to float to other units as needed

Professional appearance : Royal Blue scrubs, no artificial nails, neat hair, covered tattoos, and limited visible piercings

ICU RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to surgical and oncology patients in the SICU

Monitor and manage patients using advanced ICU equipment (ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, GE Cardiac Output monitors)

Assist with bedside procedures : central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis, cardiac catheterizations, cardioversions, and intubations

Accurately document patient care using Meditech EHR system

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes

Adapt to flexible scheduling and float to other critical care units as required

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment in compliance with hospital policies
