Behavioral Health Technician

In this role, you'll provide essential direct care and support to clients in a therapeutic residential environment. You will monitor vital signs, supervise medication administration, facilitate activities, assist with daily living needs, and help maintain a safe and supportive space for those in recovery. Your contributions will play a key role in improving client outcomes, supporting treatment plans, and ensuring a dignified care experience.

Key Responsibilities :
Provide compassionate care and direct support to clients in a residential behavioral health settingFacilitate group education, structured activities, and recovery skill sessionsAssist clients with daily living tasks, including grooming, bathing, and dressing when neededMonitor and record vital signs, and recognize when escalation to medical personnel is necessarySupport medication administration per policy and training certificationsDocument client behavior, activities, and progress in a timely and accurate mannerEncourage adherence to program expectations using trauma-informed care principlesTransport clients to appointments as neededAssist with admissions, discharges, and orientation processesSupport crisis response and safety procedures according to established protocolsParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and treatment planning sessionsMaintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in compliance with agency standardsEducation, Experience, and / or Credential Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent required, with two (2) years of responsible employmentExperience in Human Services or a related field preferredFor St. Louis County Programs : Bachelor's Degree OR MAADC I or II acceptedFor Residential Care Facility (RCF) : Must become credentialed as a Level 1 Med Aid (LIMA) and be Insulin Certified within the first ninety (90) days in positionExceptions to listed qualifications may be approved by the appropriate Executive Team memberAdditional Qualifications :
Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a company-owned vehicleMust be at least 23 years of age to operate a 15-passenger company-owned vanValid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance requiredMust successfully complete background, fingerprint, abuse / neglect, and driving record checksFirst Aid and CPR certification required within 3 months of hire and must be kept currentMust complete Behavioral Management training within 30 days of hire (CPI or Crisis Management)Must complete 40 hours of related training annually (per 9 CSR 10-7.110 E 1)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish rapport while maintaining appropriate boundariesBasic keyboarding and electronic medical record navigation skills requiredPhysical Requirements :
