ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Job Details : \n

  • Work 12-hour shifts : 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM or 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM

    • \n

  • Weekend nights schedule : Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday

    • \n

  • Every other weekend or 2 weekends per 4-week schedule requirement

    • \n

  • Holiday schedule participation required

    • \n

  • Patient ratios : 1 : 6 for floor patients, 1 : 3 for stepdown patients

    • \n

  • Required to float to like units (floor / stepdown)

    • \n

  • Must wear royal blue scrubs

    • \n

  • BLS certification required

    • \n

  • Must have experience with complex wound care, drains, devices, and traumatic injuries

    • \n

  • Experience required with chest tubes, respiratory support, TBI's, and complex spinal cord injuries

    • \n

  • Must be able to read and validate telemetry strips

    • \n

  • Work with titratable drips including Heparin, PCA's, Insulin, and Cardizem

    • \n

  • Handle multi-trauma, TBI, fractures, general surgery, and bariatric surgery patients

    • \n

  • EPIC charting system used

    • \n

  • Driver's license address must be outside 50 miles from facility

    • \n

  • 2 shifts cancellation policy per 13-week contract

    This healthcare facility features a 33-bed trauma and general surgery inpatient unit that operates as both a stepdown and floor unit. The facility is a nationally-recognized comprehensive bariatric surgery center and maintains a high-impact, fast-paced environment. The unit provides comprehensive care with 24 / 7 house supervisor coverage, budgeted free charge nurses, clinical associates for support, and round-the-clock respiratory therapy services. The facility uses advanced monitoring technology and maintains collaborative relationships between care management, surgical services, medical services, rehabilitation, and perioperative departments.
