General Dentist – Pediatric Office | Bakersfield, CA

Full-Time or Part-Time Opportunity

A well-established pediatric-focused dental office in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a friendly, patient-centered General Dentist to join our growing team. This position is open to both full-time and part-time candidates, and new graduates with an interest in pediatrics are encouraged to apply.

Our ideal candidate is open to working in a pediatric environment—previous experience with children is a plus, but not required. You will be supported by a rotating team of assistants, ensuring you always have help chairside.

Compensation Structure

• Daily Base: $800–$900/day to start (flexible depending on experience)
• Compensation Model: Begin on a daily base, then transition to percentage of production after an initial period

Insurance & Payor Mix

• Majority Medi-Cal (state insurance)
• Some PPO accepted
• No HMO

Schedule

Open to Full-Time or Part-Time

• Full-Time: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
• Part-Time: Flexible, ideally Monday–Tuesday or Thursday–Friday (same hours)

Clinical Scope

The doctor will focus on pediatric general dentistry. The following procedures are referred out:

• Implants
• Periodontics
• Oral Surgery
• Endodontics
• Orthodontics

Office Information

• Team: 6 team members currently (actively hiring additional staff)
• Assistants: Rotating assistants—doctor will never work without support
• Operatories:
• 4 treatment rooms
• 6 open-bay hygiene chairs
• Technology: Open Dental EHR; limited specialty equipment due to the nature of pediatric care
