YL Staff Associate I

Summary :

Through both formal training and direct field ministry experience, learn how to effectively carry out and manage Young Life ministry.

Ministry Functions :

Spiritual Development - "Following Jesus" includes prayer and spiritual disciplines, fellowship, growth and health and church relationships.

• Develop a yearly personal growth plan that fosters a vibrant spiritual life including time for solitude, retreat, reflection, prayer and a sincere commitment to understanding God's Word.
• Seek and maintain relationships and disciplines, in the context of active participation in a church community.
• Actively participate in the spiritual life of the Young Life community.
• Lead teams and individuals in spiritual development.

Leadership Development - "Equipping leaders, committee and staff" includes key volunteer care, recruiting, team building and training, supervision and vision casting.

Resource Development - "Fueling the ministry" includes events, major donor care, public relations (branding) and TDS team.

Direct Ministry - "Proclaiming and modeling" includes contact work, club, Campaigners and camp.

Ministry Support - "Taking care of business" includes accounting, administration, communication (internal), data management and strategic plan.

We are seeking a full-time Staff Associate to join our team, offering a comprehensive benefits package. The ideal candidate is a devoted follower of Jesus with a passion for reaching teenagers with the hope of the gospel. As a member of our team, you will work to expand the WyldLife ministry, now in its third year, in Portsmouth, NH. The role requires someone open to ecumenical collaboration, particularly with local Catholics, as we seek to reach a diverse group of teens. This position is part of a larger, well-established Young Life ministry in the NH Seacoast area, and our long-term vision includes establishing a Young Life club for high school students in Portsmouth.
