Database Architect

Overview

This role is for a Database Architect with 10+ years of Datawarehouse design experience, proficient in SQL, PL / SQL, and data modeling tools. Contract length is unspecified, paying $60.31 - $65.06 per hour, based in Boston, MA, requiring in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Datawarehouse solutions with a dimensional model to support data visualization and AI-enabled querying.
• Maintain, secure, and operate databases ensuring data is accessible, accurate, and protected while optimizing performance and managing backups.
• Lead data migration initiatives to cloud platforms like Snowflake and ensure smooth integration of data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed systems on Cloud (AWS / Azure).
• Hands-on data modelling and Datawarehouse design; familiar with data modelling tools like Erwin or similar.
• Handle databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Snowflake; strong SQL and PL / SQL skills.
• Apply knowledge of metadata management, database schema creation and management, data integrity, and data quality concepts.
• Engage in customer-facing data solutions for data use cases; communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Understand OLTP and OLAP data models; monitor and optimize performance; perform tuning as needed.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.
