Director of AI

A company is looking for a Director of AI to lead generative AI strategy and product development within the Higher Education business unit.

Key Responsibilities

Define and execute the GenAI roadmap for the Higher Education business unit

Lead development of AI-powered learning tools and personalization systems

Manage and mentor a high-performing team of ML engineers and data scientists

Required Qualifications

PhD, MS, or equivalent experience in Applied Math, Physics, Statistics, or a related field

7-10 years of progressive experience in AI / ML, moving from hands-on contributor to leadership

Proven success in shipping GenAI applications to production

Strong technical fluency in Python, PyTorch / TensorFlow, and MLOps principles

Background in education, edtech, or mission-driven tech preferred
