About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Profession : Nursing

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years in Level 3 NICU

License : Active RN License

Certifications : BLS, NRP

Must-Have : Required skills include placement and management of oral and nasogastric tubes, arterial line management, central line care, IV vasopressors, and ventilator management.

Description :

Position floats between units based on needs.

On-call required as needed.

Weekends required every other week.

No block scheduling is required.

Expected patient ratios are 1 : 1, 2 : 1, or 3 : 1.

Candidates must have experience with NICU patients, including care for neonates less than 28 weeks.

Ability to manage dysrhythmias and care for patients with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome is essential.

Floating to other units or facilities may be required based on skill set.

Must have a vehicle for transportation to assignments.

Travelers may float between facilities as needed.

Candidates will be expected to work 3 of the 5 holidays during the assignment.

Two supervisory references covering one year are required.

Charting system experience with EPIC is mandatory.

Inflexibility regarding scheduling requests may result in termination of assignment.

Additional patient care team support includes physical therapy, interpretation services, and social services.

Daily census includes an average of 22 patients with 42 beds available in the unit.

Travelers’ refusal to float may lead to loss of guaranteed hours.

Modules related to the position must be completed and are non-billable.
