Project Manager
The Project Manager shall be responsible for the successful planning, coordinating, and management of cost, schedule, and performance of all aspects of complex engineering projects and tasks.
- The candidate will serve as the technical point of contact for the Program Manager and team members on the project
- Will directly contribute to program efforts in several areas, including task cost, schedule, and deliverables status updates
- Will monitor risks, and develop and present risk containment strategies to ensure proper performance of tasks necessary for efficient and effective execution of the contract
- Will utilize expert communication skills to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas, as well as write and review technical documents
Responsibilities :
Assist higher level project manager with allocation of resourcesWork with the higher-level project managers to provide effective and efficient management of the contractProvide direction and mentoring to project team members; set the appropriate goals and objectivesDirect and manage the activities of a project teamDocument system and project process improvementsPrepare and complete action plans to be presented to the GovernmentAllocate resources to multiple simultaneous requirementsEnsure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with the contractor's staffProvide direction and mentoring to project team members; set appropriate goals and objectivesMitigate project risks and issues that occurProvide analysis of operational objectives and draft plans to meet objectivesReview risk and risk mitigation activities and allocate resources for the sameDevelops multi-project Work Breakdown Structures and Integrated Master Schedules to deconflict allocation of resourcesCoordinate activities of lower level project managers to achieve synergy across TTOsProvide effective and efficient management of the contractor's effortProvide detailed tracking of requirements satisfaction for reporting to Government customersQualifications : Required :
TS SCI level clearance with appropriate Poly
Education and Experience :
Eight (8) years of demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting for projects and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is requiredSix (6) years of additional program management experience of similar scope, type, and complexity with the Federal Government may be substituted for a Bachelor's degreeA Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 certification in Program Management is requiredPay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is : $109,800 - $241,600
