Newsletter and Integrated Media Advertising Account Executive

Base pay range : $125,000 – $150,000 per year, plus uncapped commission.

Overview

The Free Press is a rapidly growing media organization dedicated to independent, fearless journalism. We publish investigative reporting and provocative commentary through a network of newsletters, podcasts, live events, and digital content. We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial Newsletter and Integrated Media Advertising Account Executive to drive advertising revenue across our newsletter network and bundled offerings.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential advertising partners aligned with our highly engaged, educated audience.
• Develop comprehensive media proposals showcasing our newsletter network and bundled advertising opportunities across podcasts, live events, and other channels, and close deals for each product and across integrated channels.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
• Attend industry events and conferences to generate new business opportunities.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for existing advertising clients.
• Develop strategic, multi‑platform advertising campaigns that deliver results.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide detailed reporting and optimization recommendations in partnership with the ad ops team.
• Ensure client satisfaction and identify opportunities for account growth and renewal.
• Create custom advertising packages focusing on our newsletter network, with bundled opportunities across podcasts, live events, and digital content.
• Collaborate with editorial and production teams to develop native advertising opportunities.
• Coordinate with the events team on sponsorship opportunities for live debates and special programming.
