This is a 3rd Shift position with a 12% shift differential.
In this role, you will provide Operations Engineering support to the Circuit Card Assembly Factory. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the operation of SMT process lines, utilizing automated and programmable equipment for multiple products. You will also focus on process improvement, defect prevention, and cycle time reduction, while offering essential support to operators.
What You Will Do
- Apply advanced knowledge of solder defect prevention and detection to meet ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 specifications.
- Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing process documentation.
- Engage in programming for manufacturing automation.
- Oversee the disposition of discrepant hardware.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions to solve and prevent issues.
- Participate in initiatives targeting process improvement and cost reduction using Lean Manufacturing.
- Develop and support manufacturing processes.
- Conduct safety and ergonomic assessments.
- Collaborate with senior personnel on technical matters that require coordination across organizations and suppliers.
- Develop tools and fixtures to enhance ergonomics and reduce costs and defects.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer
Experience in applying Lean Manufacturing principles.Knowledge of ANSI J-STD-001 Class 3 & IPC-CC-830 standards.Experience supporting a circuit card assembly production floor, with a focus on process and quality.Specialized tooling development experience (jigs, fixtures, specialized packaging).Familiarity with SMT equipment, including :Screen printers and solder paste inspection machinesAdhesive placement machinesComponent placement machinesAutomated optical inspection machinesReflow ovensX-ray inspection equipment and touch-up operationsAbility to apply Six Sigma principles.A proactive, innovative mindset that fosters continuous improvement and adapts to technological advances.Demonstrated mechanical aptitude with cross-disciplinary collaboration skills.Proficiency in CAD solid modeling tools.Active DoD security clearance (confidential).Experience with automated equipment and programming.What We Offer

This role requires employees to work primarily onsite, essential for production and maintenance roles.
The salary range for this position is $66,000 - $130,000, depending on various factors including experience and skills. Hired applicants may also receive benefits such as medical coverage, retirement plans, and paid time off, among others.
