About The Position

Must-Have :

• Experience with chemical agents for decontamination
• Skills in manual cleaning, disinfectants, and proper labeling
• Proficiency with ultrasonic cleaner and washers / sterilizers
• Knowledge of sterilization wrapping procedures
• Familiarity with endoscopes and scope / probe reprocessing

Description :

The Sterile Processing Tech position involves managing the decontamination and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

Candidates must possess experience in an acute hospital operating room setting and demonstrate proficiency in aseptic techniques.

The role requires organizing trays and placing instruments correctly on them, ensuring proper labeling and selection of wrapping materials.

Experience with loaner trays and consignment trays is essential.

The Technician will be responsible for assembling sets / trays and managing the sterilization processes for various surgical instruments, including cystoscopes and laparoscopic tools.

Testing and monitoring of sterilization processes using biological and chemical indicators are also required.

The ideal candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail and take responsibility for accurate equipment documentation.

Familiarity with various specialty procedures, including trauma and orthopedic, is preferred.

The position requires teamwork and interdisciplinary support to deliver quality patient care.
