Job description

Overview

On-Demand : Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2632) – role at Target.

Starting Hourly Rate / Salario por Hora Inicial : $19.25 USD per hour

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs and provide knowledge about tools, products, and services in the store and area.
  • Be knowledgeable about Target Loyalty programs, fulfillment services, and how to direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
  • Explain and demonstrate how to use the Target App and Wallet features.
  • Assist with returns following register prompts and Target policies; escalate as needed.
  • De-escalate situations with leadership support to recover the guest shopping experience.
  • Deliver accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to guests.
  • Support guest services such as OPU, Drive-up orders and returns; comply with applicable laws and store policies.
  • Assist with cash office processes as needed and manage cash systems.
  • Perform all other duties based on business needs.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Accurately handle cash transactions and support cash office operations as needed.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds with assistance.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to meet store needs.
  • Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift; work in varying temperatures and environments as required by Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
