Job description

Role : SAP Programming Consultant

Location : 301 Gervais St., Columbia, SC 29201

Work Type : Fully Onsite – 5 days / week

Duration : 12 months (possibility of extension)

Interview Process : 1 round – Virtual / Online

Candidate Eligibility : Must be a South Carolina resident (no relocation)

Scope & Overview

The consultant will provide functional and technical services for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of South Carolina’s statewide SAP ERP system .

Modules involved include :

Personnel Administration
Organizational Management
Time Management
Payroll Management
Fiori-based Portal
Finance
Materials Management
Supplier Relationship Management
SAP SuccessFactors LMS

The consultant will collaborate with analysts, designers, and business teams to develop and maintain high-quality SAP solutions, including enhancements and workflow automation.

Daily Duties & Responsibilities

Develop, debug, test, and implement ABAP programs and modifications for SAP HCM.

Design and maintain HEI interface processing .

Configure Enterprise Structure and Organizational Structure in SAP HCM.

Perform data extraction and updates using tools such as LSMW , EpiUse Data Sync , ad hoc query , Report Painter , and SAP tables.

Develop and maintain WRICEF components (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).

Conduct unit testing , create test scripts, and perform OSS note evaluations .

Provide afterhours support when required.

Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure integration and quality.

Maintain documentation according to project methodology.

Support and sustain implemented SAP solutions.

Required Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Information Management , or a related technical field

(OR equivalent combination of education and 10 years’ related experience)

10+ years of SAP HCM functional experience in a professional environment

Understanding of SAP Portal Technology

Preferred Skills

Functional knowledge of SAP HCM and SuccessFactors

Experience with Mail Services in SAP through Standard API

General understanding of accounting processes

Familiarity with enterprise-level ERP applications

1+ year of SAP Workflow experience
