Sr. Project Manager
XL Sacramento is looking for a Sr. Project Manager in our healthcare market. This individual will work intimately with the Sacramento leadership to grow our healthcare portfolio with our existing and new clients. We are looking for an experienced Sr. Project Manager that will prioritize client relationships and business development while ensuring our project team deliver excellent preconstruction and construction services to those same clients.

Key Responsibilities :
Business Development & Preconstruction
- Lead new healthcare project pursuits, including strategy development, proposals, and relationship management
- Guide design-build and design-assist project delivery approaches
- Oversee the bid process with a focus on scope clarity, risk mitigation, and subcontractor coverage
- Prepare conceptual and detailed estimates, GMP proposals, and internal budgets
- Support development of contracts that manage risk and maximize opportunity
Project Execution
Lead all aspects of project delivery including procurement, submittals, RFIs, change orders, billing, budgeting, and forecastingCollaborate with Superintendents and field teams to ensure schedule, safety, and quality complianceCoordinate project permits, inspections, tests, and procurement activitiesMonitor and manage project cost performance and ensure alignment with financial goalsEnsure comprehensive project closeout, including client turnover, documentation, and lessons learnedTeam & Client Leadership
Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, trade partners, and internal teamsLead OAC meetings and all external project communicationsMentor and manage project engineers, coordinators, and other staffUphold and champion XL's safety program, values, and company cultureKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field10+ years of progressive construction experience, with strong healthcare project backgroundProven success delivering projects in Education, Science / Technology, Civic, and / or Healthcare sectorsStrong presence in or knowledge of the Sacramento healthcare market preferredCertifications preferred : OSHA 10, LEED AP, DBIAProficient in project management tools; knowledge of Viewpoint (Vista) is a plusStrong understanding of MEP systems, permitting processes, and all major tradesExcellent interpersonal, leadership, and communication skillsCompensation & Benefits :
In accordance with California's pay transparency requirements, the base salary range for this position is $165,000 $200,000 + annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Total compensation may also include performance-based bonuses.
