Responsibilities:On May 1, 1947, a group of Idaho farmers and ranchers founded an insurance company. This company was grounded in the belief that neighbors should help neighbors. Because of this, we have built a customer-centered culture that has helped us develop stronger through decades of change.
In our humble beginnings, we offered only auto insurance from our Pocatello office. Subsequent generations of employees and agents, guided by the founders’ beliefs, built the company into what it is today: the largest writer of farm and ranch insurance in Idaho and the largest insurance company wholly based in Idaho.
In 2024, Western Community Insurance—Farm Bureau Mutual started offering insurance products in the state of Washington.
