Cost Engineer - Puerto Rico - 12 Month Contract

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Cost Engineer to join our major, global pharmaceutical client on their latest new-build project based in Puerto Rico, this is a large-scale greenfield capital project and investing more than $1bn.

Responsibilities

• Support project cost control activities for the biologics capital project.
• Work closely with A / E, CM, CQV firms, and vendors / contractors to align cost control processes with the owner's project services model.
• Assist in the procurement process, ensuring budget checks are performed before purchase orders and contracts are finalized. Support bid analysis with estimating resources and participate in value engineering exercises.
• Support cost reporting and forecasting processes for site projects, including change management and internal resource forecasting.
• Assist in the evaluation of change orders alongside estimating teams.
• Monitor project progress, track productivity and earned value, and identify deviations from the project plan.
• Review and verify applications for payment and invoices to ensure compliance with client requirements, facilitating timely payments to suppliers.
• Participate in final cost account reconciliation with key members of the supply chain.
