Position Summary
The Security Engineer II is to provide support to the security analysts on the team, deploy new security tools, and maintain existing security tools. The ideal candidate has three (3) or more years of experience in offensive and defensive security tactics. This position will support the enterprise network team as well as the security of a global corporate network with locations around the world. The ideal candidate will also have extensive infrastructure experience including Windows Servers, Linux Services, TCP / IP, DNS, Encryption, E-Mail Security, Network Security, and Active Directory.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
- Responsible for tracking and ensuring remediation of technical items identified from vulnerability management programs, audits, penetration testing, etc.
- Experience with security systems including SIEM, IDS / IPS, Next Generation Firewalls, DLP, FIM, SAST, database security, etc.
- Participate in operational management of security systems.
- Assisting in troubleshooting and solving a wide variety of security issues.
- Continual and daily research on what is happening in the security world – threat levels, new exploits, vulnerability research, etc.
- Develop and maintain security design and configuration documentation to ensure effective delivery and continual improvement of network solutions
- Collaborate with IT and other teams to address gaps in security controls or solutions.
- Participate in the implementation of security best practices and platforms.

- Suggest, support, and implement process improvements.
- Full-time position with on-call duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
3-5 years of relevant experience in offensive and defensive security tactics3-5 years of relevant experience as a Systems Administrator or Systems3-5 years of experience with security systems including SIEM, IDS / IPS, Next Generation Firewalls, WAF, DLP, FIM, SAST, database security, etc.Engineering on an infrastructure teamExtensive knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development lifecycle methodologiesAbility to build architectural documentation for new and existing projectsExcellent communication skills, verbal and writtenMust possess a strong teamwork ethic, with the ability to work with employees at all levels in all departmentsFamiliar with audit and compliance functionsGood knowledge of computer terminologyUnderstanding of NIST standards and experience implementing controls mandated by the standardsOutstanding communication skills, both oral and writtenAn inquiring mentality with the ability to think analytically and provide effective feedback, where appropriateWork independently with guidance only in most sophisticated situationsPreferred Experience and Skills
