Administrative Assistant

This position is part-time for Oklahoma Connections Academy (OKCA), a tuition-free, online public school serving students in grades K12 throughout Oklahoma. OKCA is authorized by the Oklahoma Statewide Virtual Charter School Board and governed by an independent Board of Directors. OKCA is accredited by the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement, an accrediting division of AdvancED.

Position Summary And Responsibilities

Working from your home office, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily administrative tasks of the school such as answering phones and email, receiving visitors, assisting the principal and teachers with administrative tasks, filing and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities include :

• Entering data into the online student information system and a variety of other applications;
• Generating written and oral reports;
• Answering the phones;
• Keeping and utilizing a current calendar;
• Communicating with parents and students;
• Assisting school leadership with a wide variety of daily responsibilities.

Requirements

Requirements include proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google tools and web-based applications, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, good interpersonal skills and attention to detail, excellent communication skills both oral and written, a customer-focused approach, a high degree of flexibility, and demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
