Clinical Education Specialist - Emergency department

Position Objective :

To promote the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective health care through the provision of expert clinical education and professional development. Collaborates with leadership team, clinical education team, and clinical staff in : the planning and implementation of organizational and departmental goals, creating a climate of innovation through role-modeling, consultation, research, and the facilitation of learning.

• Provides professional support to internal and external customers that meet the needs of their diverse age and cultural backgrounds. Acts as a resource for staff members.
• Demonstrates ability to assess the need for, plan, implement and evaluate high-quality, cost-effective educational programs for staff. Maintain educational records.
• Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates orientation programs for new staff.
• Assists in development of competencies for clinical staff. Collaborates with other departments / nursing areas to ensure consistency and to avoid duplication.
• Promotes the advancement of nurses by offering a variety of learning opportunities planned for nurses in different stages of the Novice to Expert continuum.

$83,000 - $124,000 USD
