Role Summary
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is looking for a Head of Information Technology to build and lead the company’s technology, infrastructure, and security functions as we scale. This role will serve as both the strategic architect and operational leader for all technology-related initiatives across the business. This role bridges industry expertise, IT infrastructure, and business strategy to ensure Rowan has the right strategy, tools, systems, and protections in place to scale securely and efficiently.
The Head of Information Technology will oversee all aspects of IT operations, and the successful candidate will have experience aligning technology initiatives with business goals, navigating and implementing regulatory and security frameworks, leading organizational transformation through technology, and partnering closely with business and operations teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.
Travel :
Ability to travel up to 20% for company gatherings, external events, or to data center project sites.

Compensation :
$200-$235K (Offers Bonus)
Essential Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership :
- Define and execute an enterprise-wide technology strategy aligned with business goals
- Build and scale IT infrastructure, systems, and support models in line with business growth
- Serve as the executive owner for cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between IT, business units, and operations
- Develop and execute a technology roadmap that supports growth, scalability, and innovation
Business & Industry Enablement :
Evaluate and recommend tools and platforms that align with business needs and enhance operational efficiencyMonitor industry trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisionsAct as the external voice of Rowan on IT & Security-related topics with customers, investors and other partiesIT Oversight & Support :
Ensure IT teams have the resources, infrastructure, and support needed to deliver secure and scalable solutions, provide swift quality support, and maintain accurate inventory and budgetsProvide strategic guidance to the team across all IT & Security areas including cloud architecture, cybersecurity, data governance, and enterprise systemsManage vendor relationships and technology procurement to ensure cost-effective and future-proof solutionsEstablish processes for asset management, access management, and IT controls and governanceSecurity & Risk Management :
Develop and lead Rowan’s enterprise security initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. Drive Rowan’s IT & Security compliance effortsImplement risk management frameworks, incident response planning and business continuity strategiesOperations & Critical Systems Support :
Partner with the critical operations team to align technology with operational strategy and resilienceEnsure that mission-critical systems are secure, reliable, and optimized for performanceIntroduce automation, system integration, and process improvement for reliabilityPerformance & Team Leadership :
Build and mentor a high-performing IT and security team (internal staff and vendor partners)Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of technology initiativesReport on technology performance, ROI, and strategic alignment to executive leadershipFoster a culture of continuous improvement and innovationEducation, Skills, and Experience
Master’s degree in a related field (Business, Information Technology, or Management) and at least ten (15) years of progressive leadership in information technology, cybersecurity, real estate, and data center constructionExperience in fast-growth, mid-sized companies (ideally in infrastructure, data centers, or related industries), leading a team of IT & Security professionalsDemonstrated technical expertise across IT infrastructure, system and software implementation, and system architecture analysisProven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while thriving in fast-paced, cross-functional environmentsDemonstrated expertise in cybersecurity standards, compliance frameworks, and risk managementProven track record managing vendors, scaling IT environments, and leading through ambiguityDemonstrates exceptional communication and collaboration skills, strong organizational capabilities, and a high level of comfort navigating ambiguityAdept at analytical thinking and problem-solving, with a consistent track record of driving results through strategic execution and teamworkFueled by Excellence & Collaboration
