We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Beverly Hills, California. In this role, you will focus on reconciling balance sheets and bank statements, as well as preparing and posting journal entries. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for 2-3 days in the office each week.
Responsibilities :
- Reconcile balance sheets and ensure all financial discrepancies are resolved.
- Perform bank statement reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Prepare and propose journal entries, and post them as needed.
- Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure financial data is complete and accurate.
- Collaborate with team members to address and resolve accounting issues.
- Utilize Excel to manage and process manual balance sheet tasks.
- Support corporate tax return preparations by verifying and organizing relevant documentation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
- Proven experience with balance sheet reconciliations and bank statement reconciliations.
- Proficiency in preparing and posting journal entries.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting processes.
- Advanced Excel skills for managing manual financial data.
- Prior experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract role.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
