Electrical Apprentice

The Electrical Apprentice is a contributing member of a larger organization focused on the engagement and delivery of systems and solutions focused on energy efficiency and optimization of commercial and industrial facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform / Support work alongside experienced electricians, assisting them with various tasks such as installing electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
• Strictly adhere to safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools under supervision, ensuring they are used correctly and safely.
• Some knowledge electrical theory, blueprint reading, and the National Electric Code (NEC) to understand the technical aspects of the trade is helpful but not required.
• Some knowledge in installation / repair of building automation system (BAS) equipment such as sensors, actuators, including landing of such equipment to BAS panel components is helpful but not required.
• Some knowledge of installation / repair of mechanical equipment such as air handlers, chillers, ducting, dampers etc. is helpful but not required.
• Installation of electrical materials / equipment such as wire, conduit etc. is helpful but not required.
• Maintain records of work activities, such as materials used, work completed, and any changes made to electrical systems.
• Willing to support lead journeyman electrician with Analysis, Reports, MOP Sign off on work performed at job sites.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisor.
• Maintain accurate and detailed hour log of service and project time.
