Medical Assistant (OB/GYN) – Temp-to-Perm
Pay: $18 – $18.50/hr
Locations: Norfolk & Virginia Beach, VA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to support a high-volume OB/GYN practice serving patients from adolescence through mature adulthood. This is a temp-to-perm role with no weekends, steady hours, and a supportive clinical team.

What You’ll Do

• Prep exam rooms, room patients, take vitals, and assist providers during exams/procedures
• Gather patient histories and document accurately in the EMR
• Handle calls, relay messages, and follow up with patients
• Collect and label specimens, process lab orders, and coordinate referrals
• Support post-op calls, medication entries, and test result documentation
• Maintain clean, stocked rooms and follow all OSHA/infection control protocols
• Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

What You Need

• High school diploma (some college preferred)
• MA certification strongly preferred
• 2+ years’ Medical Assistant experience (OB/GYN a plus)
• Current CPR certification
• Strong EMR skills and solid medical terminology knowledge
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient-service skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-based clinical setting
