Job description
Ignite Communication and Connection in the Dazzling City of Frisco - Become a Speech Language Pathologist with Us!

Overview

Imagine a career where every interaction ignites passion and breathes life into purpose - quite literally! As a Speech Language Pathologist in the dynamic city of Frisco, your role transcends traditional speech therapy. You'll not only tackle communication and swallowing disorders but also unlock potential, foster confidence, and create lasting human connections along the way - whether it's aiding toddlers in voicing their first words or empowering seniors to regain their independence.

This is your chance to engage with a broad spectrum of clients throughout their lifespan within a vibrant setting that artfully blends outpatient therapy with opportunities for occasional inpatient care. If your heart beats for pediatric language paths, adult neurogenic communication challenges, or geriatric cognitive-linguistic support, you'll discover a fulfilling and adaptable work environment devoted to your interests.

Description
  • Conduct thorough evaluations on pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing both standardized assessments and keen observational techniques.
  • Design tailored treatment plans that cater to immediate goals while addressing overarching communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Implement individualized speech therapy interventions that center on communication, language acquisition, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing abilities.
  • Engage in collaborative efforts with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate comprehensive care strategies.
  • Deliver education to patients and their families that enhances progress beyond the clinic environment.
  • Occasionally assist with speech therapy evaluations and interventions for inpatients, ensuring a seamless continuum of care during their treatment experience.
  • Maintain up-to-date and precise records in alignment with state and federal guidelines, as well as organizational policies.
  • Stay informed about new advancements in speech therapy through continuing education and energetic collaboration with peers.
Education
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology obtained from an accredited university.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not yet ASHA-certified.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of starting employment.
Skills
  • Expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for diverse age groups, with an emphasis on understanding both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, fostering connections with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Capability to adjust therapy techniques to accommodate varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Demonstrating sound clinical judgment and adept problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation standards.
Benefits
  • Attractive salary, aligned with your experience level.
  • Flexible scheduling to promote work-life harmony and a diverse caseload.
  • Chance to specialize in pediatric care, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric services.
  • Paid time off (PTO) as well as holiday remuneration.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options available.
  • Support for continuing education and professional growth.
  • Engaged, team-oriented environment, dedicated to high-quality care and continuous learning.

A Journey that Enriches Your Life and Career

As a Speech Language Pathologist here, you won't merely deliver therapy - you'll join a passionate community committed to reviving voices, empowering communication, and nurturing joy through the simple yet profound acts of understanding and connection.

In the company of fellow clinicians who treat each other like family, you'll thrive in an environment that emphasizes collaboration rather than competition. Each patient brings a unique narrative, and we empower you to help shape their story in the most impactful way.

Who We Welcome into Our Team

We are on the lookout for a Speech Language Pathologist driven by purpose and compassion. An individual who envisions potential where others see challenges, transforming barriers into stepping stones for self-expression.

You could be a pediatric expert set on branching out into adult therapy, or a seasoned neuro clinician eager to dive deeper into early intervention practices.

Whatever your passion, if you're enthusiastic about serving with heart and leading with expertise, we would be delighted to have you join our team.

Let's Craft Meaningful Narratives - Together

If you believe that speech encompasses more than mere sounds, and therapy extends beyond duties - if your philosophy includes building rapport before reaching goals and valuing laughter as much as language - your next chapter could start here.

Become a part of a community that champions communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to embrace new beginnings. Take the leap and apply today, adding your voice to our team - and guiding others in finding theirs.
