🏥 ICU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

📍 Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

🛏️ Beds : 8-bed unit (Avg. census : 3–4 patients)

🕒 Shifts : 12-hour shifts (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 00 PM or 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

📅 Scheduling : Self-scheduling to some degree; schedule released 30–45 days in advance

📆 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend or 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

🩺 Orientation : 2–3 floor-specific shifts

👩‍⚕️ Patient Ratios & Support :

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 to 1 : 2

Charge Nurse : Yes, also takes a patient assignment

Unit Clerk : Yes

Nurse Aides : No

Respiratory Therapy : On-site 24 / 7

Pharmacy : On-site 10 hrs / day; Telepharmacy available after hours

IV Team : No

Hospitalist / Intensivist : Not in-house 24 / 7 but available 24 / 7

Telemetry : Phillips monitoring system (central monitoring tech supports ER and ICU)
