Job description

The Role

As a manufacturing facility Plant Controller with Green Thumb,you will be an integral part of the plant management team as well as a key member of theOperationsFinance team.As such, this position requires direct involvement in both plant operations andaccounting / finance activities and initiatives as required . Duties include overall responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of financial and operational management information to be used in reporting financial results as well as managing the facility.

This position requires onsite work 5 days a week at our facility in Rock Island, IL or Oglesby, IL.

Responsibilities

  • Perform monthly closing of financials for facilityin accordance withGAAP and Company policy

  • Prepare monthly analysis of financial results including variance / bridging analysis in coordination with the facility GM and operational staff

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="3" data-aria-level="1">
  • Coordination and oversight of physical inventories, SOX,and audits with plant sites

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="4" data-aria-level="1">
  • Prepare daily / weekly laborutilizationplan, including headcount and overtime reporting

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="5" data-aria-level="1">
  • Lead and prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts comparing projected results to prior year,budgetandpreviousforecasts

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="6" data-aria-level="1">
  • Coordinate evaluation of capital projects and approval process

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="7" data-aria-level="1">
  • Maintain fixed asset register : record new assets, transfers or retirements and calculate monthly depreciation figures

  • Perform operational analysis, trend projections and forecasting

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="9" data-aria-level="1">
  • Lead site level financial meetings,participatein site level leadership meetings, provide financial visibility to business partners for decision making

  • Reviewsite performance andKPI data with management; understand trends and help analyze root causes.

  • Lead and / orparticipateon cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods,productivityand quality, while reducing costs

  • Provide reports and data to manufacturing department heads toassistthem in managing their department expenses (including, but not limited to spending reports, operating reports, and variance analyses)

  • Work withoperations financeteam to calculate, analyze, andmaintaindata todeterminestandard costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor

  • Responsible tomonitorand maintain proper inventory reporting and control at the site - Inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, inventory discard process etc.

  • Responsible forbalance sheet account reconciliations

  • Assist ERP Project implementation team and lead site level ERP implementation

  • Responsible to hire, train,lead,and develop site level finance resources

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="18" data-aria-level="1">
  • Provide financial support on as needed basis to general manager and other facility employees

  • Conduct ad hoc analyses, specialprojects, and other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field highly preferred

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="2" data-aria-level="1">
  • 8+yearsof totalexperience inaccounting

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="3" data-aria-level="1">
  • 5+yearsofOperations finance orcostaccountingexperiencein a manufacturing / production environment

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="4" data-aria-level="1">
  • Proven mastery of accounting principles, practices, standards,lawsand regulations

  • ","469777815" : "multilevel"}" data-aria-posinset="5" data-aria-level="1">

    • Additional Requirements

  • Must pass any and all required background checks

  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry

  • Must possess valid driver's license

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

  • Must be approved b y state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

    • The pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and / or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.

    Green Thumb Pay Range

    $110,000 — $125,000 USD
