Job description

Outside Plant Engineer / Full Time Salary / 5x On-Site

Optomi, in partnership with an established technical delivery organization, is seeking an Outside Plant Engineer to join their team in Lafayette in a full-time role. This position will have its work responsibilities split between desktop and local site administration, and compensation provided for work travel.

Experience of the Right Candidate :

  • Extensive knowledge of OSP network design, including fiber optic and copper systems.
  • Advanced proficiency with CAD, GIS, and other design and mapping software.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and engineering principles.
  • Proven ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to address technical challenges.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • 4-5 years of experience in telecommunications, construction, or engineering support preferred.
