Country Growth & Marketing Strategy Manager

Our client is looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial, and results-driven Country Growth & Marketing Strategy Manager to lead their market entry and scale-up in China. This is a foundational role, the first local hire on the ground, and the selected candidate will spearhead the go-to-market strategy, build brand awareness, drive user acquisition across Chinese digital platforms, and oversee local partnerships. This is a hands-on role with high autonomy, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to build and scale from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Go-to-Market Leadership : Lead the market entry in China, developing and executing a phased launch and scale strategy.
- Performance Marketing : Own digital acquisition across platforms such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu, Baidu, Douyin, Weibo, etc. Optimize for growth KPIs like CAC, ROAS, and LTV.
- Localization Strategy : Adapt the value proposition and product messaging for the Chinese audience.
- Partnership & Agency Management : Identify and manage local growth partners, digital agencies, affiliate channels, and e-commerce collaborators.
- Brand Building : Work together with agencies to launch integrated campaigns to grow brand awareness. Develop influencer partnerships and community strategies to drive word-of-mouth.
- Market Intelligence : Stay ahead of competitive movements, consumer trends, platform shifts, and emerging growth opportunities.
- Regulatory Oversight : Coordinate with internal legal teams and local counsel to ensure all campaigns and product offerings comply with Chinese regulations.
- Initial Team Setup : Play a key role in building the future local team and operational infrastructure as the market grows.
