The Wastewater Management Program is an Enterprise Fund which consists of eight funds to manage the program's financial and budgetary requirements in order to comply with the program's bond resolution, enterprise fund guidelines, and GASB financial reporting. The Enterprise Fund consists of one revenue fund, one operating and maintenance fund, four debt related funds, and two construction funds.

Note : Wastewater Management positions are responsible for providing uninterrupted sewer service to residents during extreme inclement weather or other emergencies. This position is designated as emergency service and is subject to 24-hour on-call and may be required to report to work during extreme inclement weather or other emergencies, including after-hours and weekend work during emergency incidents to fulfill emergency service duties.

Employment Standards
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to the following :

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with either a bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, public administration, public policy or related field; plus, four years of professional-level experience in finance, business administration, budgeting, or contract management, a master's degree in a related field or CPA may substitute for 1 year of experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED :
Valid driver's license.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS :
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, credit check, and driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing. Ability to drive county vehicles to various locations throughout Fairfax County to attend meetings. Ability to input, access, and retrieve information from a computer. Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. Ability to produce organized and legible handwritten, typed / computer generated documents. May be required to walk for extended periods of time during public or community events. Position is generally sedentary. However, it requires the ability to stoop, bend, and reach. All duties performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
