Senior Controls Engineer

Overview

A leading global medical technology company is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to join its advanced manufacturing engineering team. This group is responsible for developing and supporting high-performance automation systems used in the production of innovative drug delivery devices. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in hardware / software controls, high-speed automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

This role involves leading the design, development, and deployment of control systems for assembly, packaging, and process equipment. The engineer will be instrumental in launching new equipment, optimizing existing systems, and driving technical excellence across manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, install, and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, HMIs, servo drives, and motors.
• Develop and refine imaging and vision systems for automated inspection and assembly.
• Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
• Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives across multiple production lines.
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Independently manage medium to large-scale automation projects from concept to completion.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
