The Associate Attorney will manage a caseload of personal injury and / or first-party property damage matters from pre-litigation through resolution.
ResponsibilitiesEvaluate case merits and develop strategic case plans appropriate to the stage of representation.Provide direct representation in pre-litigation and litigation, including negotiations, mediations, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation where applicable.Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement agreements.Maintain timely and organized case files using firm systems, including Clio Manage and Lawmatics workflows.Collaborate with paralegals, intake, and settlement teams to ensure deadlines are met and documentation is complete.Participate in internal case reviews to develop strategy, review liability and damages, and identify next actions.Support and train junior staff and legal assistants when appropriate.SkillsExcellent legal writing and analytical skills, with the ability to produce clear and persuasive work product.Strong negotiation skills and comfort advocating for client outcomes during settlement discussions.Prior experience in personal injury and / or first-party property insurance litigation is strongly preferred.Ability to independently manage a caseload while contributing to a collaborative team environment.Familiarity with case management systems (Clio, Lawmatics, or similar) is a plus.Bilingual Spanish / English is preferred but not required.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary, commensurate with experiencePerformance-based bonus opportunitiesHealth and supplemental insurance optionsClear pathways for career growth and professional developmentJob Type : Full-time
