About The Position

Experience : At least 2 years of professional experience in social work, public health, mental health, or related fields.
License : Active LCSW or LMSW license (or eligibility to obtain)
Certifications : Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited institution
Must-Have : Demonstrated experience in conducting trauma-informed or crisis-sensitive interviews.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proven ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
Commitment to maternal health equity and working with diverse, underserved communities.
Description :
The role supports efforts in improving maternal health outcomes, focusing on mental health, substance use disorders, and maternal mortality.
The LCSW will support several key initiatives related to maternal deaths, mental health, and substance use disorders.
This role will serve as a subject matter expert and trainer for care coordination teams.
The position will build trauma-informed, culturally competent care practices.
Key Responsibilities include conducting trauma-informed, semi-structured interviews with family members during sensitive times.
Provide emotional support and ensure respectful, culturally appropriate communication throughout the interview process.
Document interviews thoroughly and contribute to review processes.
Develop and deliver educational materials to address maternal mental health and substance use disorders.
Train staff on the use of assessment tools, with an emphasis on prevention, early identification, appropriate response, and connection to services.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and community organizations to strengthen referral networks.
Support navigation and referral processes, including warm hand-offs to community resources.
Contribute to implementing trauma-informed, culturally responsive practices across health programs.
Assist in refining interview protocols and developing trauma-informed tools and training materials.
Participate in review committee meetings and travel as needed to conduct in-person interviews and connect with healthcare providers.
