Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior. Monitor entrances, exits, and other key areas to help to deter unauthorized access and / or incidents. Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential security-related threats. Interact professionally with the public, staff, and visitors while upholding site-specific protocols. Document incidents, observations, and / or activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies. Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree. Possess an armed guard card or license. Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Full-Time Armed Transit Patrol
As a Security Officer - Full-Time Armed Transit Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication.
