ID : 73415753 Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (18 : 45 - 07 : 15) Description : RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / Years of Experience : Minimum 2 years of experience on the cardiac floor required. Traveler Experience : Required UNLESS traveler has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.Locals Accepted / Rate Difference : YesSkills : Cardiac Telemetry, PCU / DOU / IMC / Stepdown, Sheath Removal, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Post MI, Pre / Post Cardiac Cath, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, Titrate Cardiac drips, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleuravac, External CPAP / BIPAP, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway managementCerts : BLS & ACLS, NIHSSPREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP : Arterial line management, Wound Care / Wound Vac, and Charge ExperienceJOB : Varies per Acuity.   • Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and / or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES : Atrial Fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, Aortic stenosis / regurgitation, Mitral Regurgitation / Stenosis, Endocarditis, Cardiomyopathy, PVD PAD, Vasculitis, Carotid stenosis, Venous stasis, sheath management, sheath removal.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS : CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, Mitral Clip, LAAO (Watchman procedure), VATS, Carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, Amputations, Other vascular surgeries, Cardiac surgeries, Thoracic surgeries, General thoracic surgery, Post cath, Post DCCV, Post electrophysiology procedures, Pacemaker placements.SPECIAL EQUIPMENT : Arterial lines (not required), Doppler, Bladder scanner, EKG, Femoral sheaths, TR band, Fem-stop, Chest tubes, Epicardial Pacing Wires.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication) : Pyxis, EPIC, SBARUNIT ORIENTATION : 24 hoursSCRUBS : NavyINTERVIEW provide your candidate's interview availability for the next 72 hours while submitting. We cannot proceed with any offer until rehire approval is obtained. Failure to disclose this information will negatively impact your candidate and may result in a cancel. Novant runs their own check on each traveler upon hiring, so we need to notify them beforehand. Current travel Per Diem clinicians at Novant Health or New Hanover are ineligible for travel assignments. Working both simultaneously is not accepted. Must be called out in the submission if your clinician is part of a travel pair. Charting Exp Required - Epic is most common. Please review the specific job posting for details. References - Pending references at time of submission OK. Required at time of start. Two manager / supervisor references from within the past 12 months are HIGHLY preferred at time of submission. # of jobs in system we can sub : Top 3 choices only and acknowledge your candidate's openness or flexibility to other Novant locations, units, and shifts in the submission email. Fatigue Policy : Travelers cannot work more than 5 days in a row and / or more than 60 hours in a week.
