Scottsdale Waterfront Residences, the premier luxury high-rise condominium in the Southwest, is seeking a highly skilled
- Facility Technician – Central Plant & Common Area
- to join our Engineering & Facilities team. This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical building systems in a sophisticated residential environment.

- a typical technician role. We are looking for an experienced professional who brings a high level of technical expertise and commitment to service excellence in one of the most exclusive residential communities in the region.
- Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, life safety, and control systems.
- Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting for complex systems including boilers, cooling towers, pumps, makeup air units, generators, elevators, and BAS.
- Execute preventive maintenance programs and contribute to long-term planning of system upkeep.
- Conduct inspections in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and equipment spaces, and document all findings accurately.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies and assist in resolving critical issues efficiently.
- Maintain strict compliance with all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain professional communication with residents and team members.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or trade school training preferred.
- Relevant experience in building or facilities maintenance; equivalent technical experience considered.
- EPA Universal Certification (CFC) strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of building systems in high-rise environments, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Proficiency in reading technical documents, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong computer literacy required.
- Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification strongly preferred.
- Must possess or be eligible for an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card or equivalent federal clearance.
- Understanding of proper use of PPE and familiarity with OSHA regulations required.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to accuracy and deadlines.
- Knowledge of applicable safety standards, building codes, and compliance regulations.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and ladder use.
- Comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, or in extreme temperatures with proper PPE.
- Availability for emergency and on-call duty, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Work Environment
- Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments, including mechanical and rooftop areas.
- Exposure to high noise levels, electrical components, chemical agents, and mechanical hazards.
- Participation in a rotating emergency on-call schedule is required.
