Job descriptionYears of Experience : 1 Previous Charge Experience : Preferred Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS EPIC exp required First time travelers are accepted Weekend Coverage : True Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract : 1 a month Floating : travelers may float to different unit Return Staff Policy : Staff must wait 2 years before allowed to travel EKG EXAM REQUIRED : Will be required to pass an advanced dysrhythmia test for competency assessment Facility has a strict DO NOT call policy Community Hospital Experience : Required Skills : Accessing / Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident), External CPAP / BIPAP, Feeding tube care and management, Heparin Protocols, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions, Lumbar drains, Management of dysrhythmias, Nasal Cannula, Neuro Stepdown, Non-invasive airway management, Ortho trauma, Oxygen administration, PCA, Peripheral Line Care / Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management, Pre / Post neurosurgery, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Telemetry, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Titrate Cardiac drips, Total Joint Replacements, Tracheostomy care / management, Traumatic Brain injury, Use of Rapid Response / Code teams, Wound Care / Wound Vac Interdisciplinary Support : IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses : Stroke Neuro Spine REQUIRED SKILLS : Work Settings; Neuro Stepdown, Telemetry, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response; Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, Gastrointestinal / Genitourinary / Renal ; Feeding tube care and management, Pre / Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure, IV Therapy / Phlebotomy; Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral Line Care / Management, Phlebotomy, PICC line management, Starting IVs, Medications; Heparin Protocols, PCA, Titrate Cardiac drips, Neurological / Psychiatric ; CVA, Pre / Post neurosurgery, Traumatic Brain injury, Orthopedics / Plastics ; Ortho trauma, Total Joint Replacements, Surgical drains, Respiratory / Thoracic ; External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks, Tracheostomy Management, Professional Topics and Skills; Isolation Precautions, Wound Care / Wound Vac
