We are looking for an Insurance Brokerage Director that will lead the growth and performance of our firm’s insurance brokerage platform. This senior role is responsible for managing and optimizing scalable systems, strengthening carrier relationships, and empowering advisors to deliver advanced insurance solutions across life, disability, long-term care, and annuity lines. The role blends strategy, operations, and leadership to drive sustainable brokerage growth.
Performance & Growth
- Monitor brokerage production, advisor participation, and revenue performance
- Implement initiatives to increase average case size, improve placement ratios, and strengthen integration with wealth management and financial planning teams
- Partner with executive leadership on forecasting, target setting, and long-term growth strategy
- Establish clear performance benchmarks and accountability standards for advisors and brokerage support teams
- Analyze market trends, carrier competitiveness, and internal data to identify new revenue opportunities and optimize product mix
Compensation:$100,000 - $130,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Develop and execute the long-term vision for the insurance brokerage platform in alignment with firm growth goals and advisor development initiatives.
- Establish and track performance benchmarks, production metrics, and quality standards to promote consistent brokerage excellence.
- Drive innovation in advanced planning, case design, and product positioning to address complex client needs.
- Provide hands-on guidance for advanced cases, including estate planning, business succession, executive benefits, and high-net-worth strategies.
- Create and facilitate broker training programs and best-practice forums to strengthen advisor capabilities and increase production.
- Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with leading insurance carriers and national wholesalers.
- Track market trends, product developments, and regulatory updates to keep the brokerage competitive and compliant.
- Supervise end-to-end brokerage operations, including case submission, underwriting coordination, placement, and in-force service.
- Maintain compliance with MassMutual, MMLIS, and all relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in insurance brokerage, advanced markets, or insurance leadership.
- Knowledge of Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Long Term Care, and annuity products and planning applications.
- Proven experience supporting and developing financial advisors or producers as brokers.
- Ability to communicate well with the existing brokerage unit and advisors.
- Strong understanding of typical underwriting, carrier selection, and case design.
- Life/Health Insurance License Required.
