Responsibilities

  • Manages and directs the day to day operations of the Default Compliance Department to ensure strict compliance with all federal, state and investor / insurer guidelines as well as all critical aspects of the pre foreclosure process
  • Manages and interacts with internal business units and / or external business partners in relation to the day to day processing, performance and compliance activities related to demand / NOI notice, pre foreclosure referral loan review, pre foreclosure referral document gathering and pre foreclosure sale loan review
  • Trains, coaches and develops Foreclosure Supervisor(s), and Specialist(s)
  • Develops and maintains policies and procedures
  • Coordinates training curriculum for staff
  • Drives process and technology enhancements by working with internal and external partners
  • Ensures the accurate and timely distribution and completion of all management reports
  • Develops and monitors key process indicators and key risk indicator reports to ensure adherence to service level requirements
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for escalated issues from internal / external customers
  • Communicates to senior management any trends, and / or problems and recommend solutions as they pertain to the department
  • Oversees proper staffing, management, development and performance of staff
  • Maintains and monitors productivity standards within department, assists in hiring all staff additions
  • Actively participates in the implementation of procedural revisions required by changes to Investor / Insurer, State or Federal laws
  • Identifies process gaps and coordinates improvements, develops controls and minimizes risks
  • Ensures all audits and quality reviews are responded to timely
  • Develops management action plans (MAPS) to remediate audit findings
  • Conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports and provide approval for team member performance reviews
  • Maintains and enhances industry knowledge by attending training events, workshops and reviewing industry publications
  • Supports MSP and Loansphere enhancements to improve pre foreclosure processes
  • Conducts regular leadership and staff meetings to communicate status updates as needed
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, include but not limited to compliance and operational risk. Demonstrate consideration for Cenlar's reputation as well as our clients, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards

  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of default servicing experience, with in-depth knowledge of foreclosure timeframes and processes
  • Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience
  • Paralegal or other legal experience beneficial
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of mortgage servicing industry and process
  • Knowledge of Black Knight servicing system as well as Loansphere workflow system preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate a keen focus on client service delivery
  • Strong analytical and computer skills with a focus on Microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Access and Outlook)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to direct and motivate supervisory staff
  • Ability to manage and drive change in fast paced environment
  • Thorough knowledge of FHA, USDA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC servicing guidelines and requirements
  • Strong understanding of RESPA, TILA, UDAAP, FDCPA, SCRA requirements and regulations
  • Familiarity with foreclosure laws in a multi-state portfolio
  • Special Knowledge

  • Requirements under the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Service members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and Truth in Lending Act (TILA) considerations
  • Pay and Benefits

    Pay range : $84,728.00 - $132,176.00 annually. The actual compensation offered will depend on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This range represents the reasonable minimum and maximum salary the company expects to pay for this position.
