As part of the A. Stucki Company family, Wheelworx plays a key role in keeping the rail industry rolling by reconditioning railcar wheels and axles used throughout North America. We’re looking for a dependable, Machine Operator to join our team and put mechanical skills to work operating a tread lathe that supports the production of high-quality metal parts used in heavy industrial applications.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Set up and operate metal-cutting machinery, including a Tread Lathe, to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Cut, shape, and manipulate metal components to build tools, equipment, and machinery parts.
• Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning to keep machinery running safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to ensure accurate production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety protocols.

Skills / Experience Requirements :

Pay : $18.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience. Plus an extra $3.00 per hour in monthly bonus incentives based on attendance, safety, and total hours worked.
