E&I Supervisor

Onsite in White Hall, AR

Monday - Friday 6.30-3.30 / 4pm + occasional weekend on call (time off in lieu available)

The Company

Our client is a leader in the paper manufacturing industry having been in operation since the 1950s. A small, close knit and family feel team who pride themselves on delivering a high quality paper product to hundreds of clients. They have a commitment to safety, quality and sustainability and are looking to add a leader to their E&I team.

The Role

In this role you will work alongside the Superintendent to manage a 10+ team in planning and delegation of tasks and projects. You will actively lead and participate in plant safety, and mill reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with E&I Planners to ensure that all PM's are scheduled and completed and help prioritize scheduled work.
  • Prioritize work to be performed by E&I Technicians and consult with Planner or E / I Superintendent on work to be contracted.
  • Work with Engineering to ensure that Preventive Maintenance programs or Permanent Electrical equipment modifications are put in place to address the "Root Causes" of downtime and quality issues.
  • Ensure safety best practices and policies are followed.
  • Teach technical fundamentals to E&I Technicians and operations personnel when appropriate.

The Individual

To be successful in this role you will need :

  • Bachelor's degree or a HS Diploma (or equivalent) + relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of E / I supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the Manufacturing industry, bonus if from a paper mill or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership skills - ability to coach new team members, direct tasks and manage KPIs , a strong level of personal and team accountability is required.
  • Working conditions

  • Works in a manufacturing environment but is also required to perform job duties in a typical office setting.
  • Be able to work in extremely hot and cooler environments.
  • This position also requires some amount of time to be spent using computer equipment, which entails regular and repetitive motions.
  • Will regularly be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, or chemicals. All safety procedures should be adhered to in each of these situations.
  • Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds and frequently.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively by listening and also in both written and verbal form
