About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience :

Minimum of 2 years Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience required.

Experience in Cardiovascular and Pediatric care is required.

Ventricular Assist Device experience is highly preferred.

License :

Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license.

Certifications :

PALS and BLS certifications are required.

ACLS certification is preferred.

Must-Have :

Ability to float within the scope to meet facility needs.

Availability for 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule.

Ability to adhere to a holiday rotation as needed.

Description :

This position involves working 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts.

The nurse will provide care for patients with congenital heart disease of any age based on their care needs.

Patient-to-nurse ratios will be 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, based on patient acuity.

Common procedures include cardiac surgery, heart transplant, and cardiac catheterization.

The unit cares for patients requiring ventilatory and cardiac support, including ECMO and CRRT.

The nurse will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes respiratory therapy, dietitians, and pharmacists.

All beds in this unit are monitored.

The unit provides care for a mix of surgical and medical diagnoses.

Pediatric palliative care is available as needed.

Nurses will be involved in administering complex supportive therapies and monitoring hemodynamic stability.

Additional training for specialized equipment and procedures will be provided upon arrival.

Travelers should be prepared for emergency response assignments during hurricane season.
