Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with pediatric echo certification and experience in settings performing open heart surgery in children.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a pediatric cardiology setting, covering neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients
  • Day shifts with staggered 8-hour schedules, such as 8 : 00 AM–4 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM–5 : 00 PM; candidate flexibility required
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • May be asked to float to pediatric cardiology clinics as needed
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Bi-weekly orientation sessions are available
  • Performs pediatric echocardiograms across a wide age range, including neonates and adolescents
  • First-time travelers will be considered for this position
  • Locals within 75 miles are accepted at a lower rate
  • One supervisory reference from the last year is required for consideration
  • May be required to complete both billable and non-billable modules during orientation and annually as needed

    • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum 2 years of pediatric echocardiography experience required
  • Experience must be in a location performing open heart surgery in children
  • Pediatric Echo (PE) certification required
  • CCI RCS or RDCS certification required (only one needed)
  • License required if applicable
  • Flu vaccine is required with no exemptions or declinations accepted
