Job Duties

Sourcing Problem Statement : Currently, we face challenges with multiple interfaces across different platforms. The process remains predominantly manual, requiring analysts to review pricing from various vendors on multiple platforms. The current methodology for data extraction and analysis lacks efficiency and cohesion. Dispersed reports lead to time inefficiencies as users navigate through multiple platforms to access critical data, which increases the risk of errorsfor instance, the need to compare different vendor prices across various platforms. Moreover, the anticipated migration to SAP S4 limits the use of macros for data extraction, highlighting the need for a robust Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) pipeline from our database.

Objective : Our goal is to develop an automation strategy to enhance supply chain operational processing. This includes creating ETL data integration from different platforms and developing a consolidated platform or channel for price comparison across various vendors. Through these efforts, we aim to facilitate informed decision-making and promote operational excellence within the organization.

Actions of Intern include :

• Understanding business needs within the procurement team.
• Develop an ETL pipeline, create technical documentation, generate Power BI reports, and implement automation using Power BI, Python, or VBA.
• Acquiring fundamental knowledge in supply chain management and price decision strategy.
