A Typical Day

The Release Management Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of software releases, working closely with development, testing, and operations teams. This position is hands-on contributing to the success of software deployments.

The Release Management Specialist will :

Plan, schedule, and coordinate software releases in partnership with product and infrastructure teams, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with business goals

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track release progress, identify dependencies, and manage risks.

Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Milestones reviews and Go / No-Go reviews

Review deployment plans, rollback plans, resource plans, communication plans

Communicate release details and schedules to the business as needed

Negotiate, plan and manage all release activities

Participate and coordinate the Go live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists

Coordination with Vendor support teams during planning and execution windows

Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values

What You’ll Bring

1+ years of professional experience as part of a software development team or in a release management role, including relevant internships

Familiarity with software development lifecycles (SDLC) and release management processes

Experience with release management or project management tools

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively

Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate risks and issues during the release process

Available to support weekend or after-hour releases (as needed)

Must be a team player with strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently

Compensation : Individual salary may vary based on multiple factors including specific role, geographic location / market data, and skills and experience as defined below :

Lower in range - Building skills and experience in the role

Mid-range - Experience and skills align with proficiency in the role

Higher in range - Experience and skills add value above typical requirements of the role

Some roles may be eligible for performance-based compensation and / or stock-based incentives awarded to employees based on company and individual performance.
