Labor & Delivery RN Job Details

Location : Nashville, Tennessee (37203) – Tennessee nursing jobs

Unit : Labor & Delivery (12 beds)

Assignment Type : Travel RN

Start Date : October 6, 2025

End Date : January 5, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1470 - $1570

Scheduling : 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift required during assignment

Dress Code : Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray scrubs (not provided by hospital)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM

Experience with CPN and Meditach documentation systems preferred

Ability to float to other clinical units as needed

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive patient care to laboring mothers and provide immediate newborn care

Circulate and recover C-section patients in a clinical setting

Assist with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team including RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs

Maintain accurate medical documentation and participate in shared decision-making for patient care

Provide excellent patient experiences in a supportive and innovative healthcare environment
